The amazing artwork used for this piece was hand-drawn in Pennsylvania in 1854, and was originally created as a backdrop for a perfume and botanical extract display. The images have been reworked, with some added touches — including the heart-in-hand (the symbol for kindness and charity), and messages in historic fonts (“Love is the only gold” and “Love one another”) to complement the original hand-lettering. The result is a true original: romantic, bohemian, and super cool.
